All about Seattle Mariners

The Seattle Mariners compete in the Major League Baseball’s American League West Division. The team joined the American League as an expansion team in 1977, and then joined the MLB in the American League/Major League Baseball merger.

Since 1999, they have played all their home games in the SoDo District in downtown Seattle, at T-Mobile Park. The “Mariners” name comes from the obvious presence of marine culture in Seattle.
